Design

There are many considerations when finalizing your design.

​

Location:

• Does the wall comply with the Covenants of the Land?

• Is lighting or plumbing required and provided for?

​

Height:

• Does the wall require Engineered Specifications?

• Is Fencing or Barriers required due to the height?

• Does the height require Shire Approval?

​

Materials:

There are many options and styles available to you.

​

Limestone Blocks:

Can be 500mm long or 1000mm long x 350mm high.

What do you prefer?

Local Stone:

We can build your walls from local stone, in a dry-laid or

wet-laid style.

​

Cement Blocks:

(ie. Besser Blocks)

Generally, 400mm long x 200mm high.

Besser blocks can be made in a variety of colours and finishes.

Is Capping required? We can incorporate any brick paver to give a stunning finish.

Budget:

Is your retaining a feature of your property, or just a necessity that is unseen? We will work with you to provide for your needs, within your budget.

Supply

We can supply your products, or you may wish to have.

• Limestone Blocks – Delivered from Perth.

• Local Limestone – Local Quarries

• Besser Blocks – Delivered from Perth or Geraldton.

• Capping – Delivered from Perth or Geraldton.

 

Install

We utilize various methods, depending on your requirements.

Limestone Blocks:

• Excavate footings, remove soil from site (Excavator/Truck).

• Supply/Install compacted base (Excavator/Truck/Compactor)

• Supply/Install blocks (Excavator).

• Point walls with limestone cement.

• Remove all waste from site. Leave all areas clean.

Local Stone:

• Excavate Footings.

• Supply/Install concrete footings (with steel reinforcement if req).

• Supply stone to site.

• Prepare and install by hand (using scaffold as required).

• Remove waste.

​

Besser Blocks:

• Excavate footings.

• Supply/Install concrete footings with trench mesh and starter bars.

• Supply/Install blocks and capping as required.
